Dressed in something from the 1990s

At the monthly meeting in May Latrobe Ladies celebrated their 20th birthday in style – 1996 style. Members were encouraged to come dressed in something from the 1990s and there were many shoulder pads evident and even a member dressed in the grunge style of the era.

Two of the original office bearers, who are still active members of the club were invited to cut the cake, made and decorated by club Past President, Helen Blythman.
Over the last few months members have been embroidering a table cloth which can be used on special occasions. Every club member’s name is embroidered on the cloth as well as the Probus logo.

All members were given a book which contained the President’s Reports for the 20 years, a list of committee members for each year and photos relevant to the year’s activities.
During the morning Lois Couch gave summary of the beginnings and memories of many drama pieces that committees have presented over the years.
Members stayed on for a light lunch and lots of chatter.
5 students from St Paul’s Grammar School in Traralgon, entertained us musically and their music teacher had club members all singing along for one number. Brought a smile all round!
