Labor and Coalition locked in dead heat, report into Osama bin Laden’s death released and another royal baby is on the way.
Newspoll shows Labor and Coalition on par
Labor’s popularity has risen according to the latest Newspoll released today. Labor and Coalition are now locked in a dead heat with 50 per cent of the vote to both. The change has come about since Kevin Rudd was reinstated as Prime Minister. ABC News has the full story.

Queensland death puts spotlight on battery packs
Manufacturers of button batteries have agreed to introduce childproof packaging following the death of a Queensland toddler. Four-year-old Summer Steer swallowed a small circular lithium battery, triggering a chemical reaction and causing her death. Read more.
