Comeback Rudd
In a dramatic evening in politics, Kevin Rudd has made a comeback, defeating Julia Gillard in a ballot for the Labor leadership. Rudd will be sworn in by the Governor-General in Canberra today. In accordance with their internal agreement, Julia Gillard will not contest her seat at the next election, triggering an landslide of senior departures. Deputy leader has been named as Anthony Albanese. A new election date is likely, with Rudd anticipated to call it for the end of August. Dead mum in the freezer
