Hackers take over Associated Press
Hackers took control of the Associated Press Twitter account, sending out fake messages about two explosions in the White House, claiming President Obama was seriously injured. The tweets briefly sent the US financial markets into chaos. The Syrian Electronic Army has claimed responsibility for the hack. ABC News has the details.
Students losing knowledge
On the eve of Anzac Day, teachers around the country are warning that children are growing up not knowing what Anzac Day is about and knowing little about Australia’s military history. Nearly two thirds of respondents in an online survey agreed that military history should be taught more in schools. Read more.
