So you know how to call, text, browse the internet and maybe even Facebook on your iPhone. But here are a few other tricks you can do using your smartphone.
1. Speed up the time it takes for your phone to recharge
To speed up the amount of time it takes for your phone to recharge, put it on airplane mode. This mode also helps save your phone’s battery, which comes in handy when you’re travelling.Settings > Airplane Mode.
2. Take photos using your volume button
It can be tricky sometimes hitting the capture button when you take a photo. Instead, use the volume buttons on the side of your phone.
3. Save your phone battery
To save your battery, close down the number of windows and apps you have open. Double click on the home button, then simply ‘flick’ up the windows you’re no longer using to close them down.
4. Lock the apps on your phone when a child is playing with it
If you’ve given a child your iPhone to play games with, make sure they don’t access other apps or websites by turning on guided access, which keeps them in a single app at a time.Settings > General > Accessibility > Guided Access
5. Type your text in all caps
If you want to type a word in all caps when you’re texting or emailing, double click on the arrow button next to ‘z’ on your keyboard.
6. Check the timestamps of your texts
To find out when your texts were sent, simply swipe them to the left and you’ll see the timestamps of your messages.
7. Take a ‘burst’ of photos at once
Want to take a shot of a moving object? If you hold down the shutter button of your camera, it will automatically take a rapid succession of photos for you to choose from.
