The group passed beautiful scenery and very large new houses as well as the Barwon Estuary and Barwon Heads where they were treated to a viewing of the replica of the old bridge and Diver Dan’s shack from <em>Sea Change.</em></p> <p>It was then onto Bluff Lookout where the first wind generator is which still works and the local sewage plant.</p> <p>Wednesday saw the group travelling along the Great Ocean Road to Wye River, calling in at Bell’s Beach, Torquay, Anglesea, Aireys Inlet and Lorne. The group also indulged in a long walk out to onto the pier with the strong wind blowing, a visit to Teddy’s Lookout and then onto the much cooler Erskine Falls.</p> <p>Thursday was a memorable day. The group toured Bellarine Peninsula and went through the Queenscliff Fort with the enthusiastic guide, Pam. Seeing the two lighthouses that, when lined up, provide a safe passage through the heads and into the Bay was truly a sight, after which the group went to the Queenscliff Marina where they ended up on the second floor of a tower.</p> <p>A storm was approaching from Bass Strait and the ferry from Sorrento was approaching. Ocean Grove trip

Recently, 16 members (plus one husband) of the Cohuna Probus Club journeyed to Ocean Grove for five days.
Along the way, the group travelled through Bendigo for fuel, Daylesford for lunch and then along the lake to Geelong.
Members were treated to delicious food throughout the trip including a three-course dinner each night and a continental breakfast every morning.
Because the driver was local, the group often deviated from the itinerary.
First port of call on Tuesday was Van Loon’s plant nursery where members were overwhelmed by the variety of plants and garden ornaments in stock. It was then onto Bluff Lookout where the first wind generator is which still works and the local sewage plant.
Wednesday saw the group travelling along the Great Ocean Road to Wye River, calling in at Bell’s Beach, Torquay, Anglesea, Aireys Inlet and Lorne. The group also indulged in a long walk out to onto the pier with the strong wind blowing, a visit to Teddy’s Lookout and then onto the much cooler Erskine Falls.
Thursday was a memorable day. The group toured Bellarine Peninsula and went through the Queenscliff Fort with the enthusiastic guide, Pam. Seeing the two lighthouses that, when lined up, provide a safe passage through the heads and into the Bay was truly a sight, after which the group went to the Queenscliff Marina where they ended up on the second floor of a tower.
A storm was approaching from Bass Strait and the ferry from Sorrento was approaching. Then the storm hit.
After the adventurous trip, members returned to Cohuna on Friday, stopping for lunch in Bendigo once again.
During the trip, members renewed friendships with many people who had previously lived in the Cohuna area.
