PM Julia Gillard has moved up four points in the latest newspaper polls as Tony Abbott dropped four. In Eurovision news, Denmark took out the title in last night’s final with Only Teardrops.
Boost in polls for Gillard
Prime Minister Julia Gillard has received a boost in the latest newspaper polls, increasing four points to 46 per cent according to the latest Nielson poll. Gillard continues to push states and territories to sign up for the Government’s education reforms. In the same poll, Tony Abbott dipped four points, placing both party leaders on par as preferred prime minister. Read more.
South Korea slams North after short-range missile launch
South Korea has slammed North Korea following its latest short-range missile launches, urging its northern neighbour to hold talks. The launches, off the east coast, were allegedly part of a military drill. ABC News has more.
Five-year-old boy flung from carnival ride
