		<p class="firstPar">Members of two PROBUS clubs, Greenway and Tuggeranong at the ACT Legislative Assembly on 11<sup>th</sup> of August 2016.</p>

<p>Joann McAlister welcomed us at 1.00 pm, when we were shown a short movie on the beginnings of the ACT Government/Assembly.</p>
<p>After the movie a very nice lunch was provided by the Assembly, this was followed by a short &ldquo;meet your local member&rdquo; question and answer session after which we all were shown into &ldquo;the Chamber&rdquo; where the clerk explained the &lsquo;workings of the Assembly&rsquo;, we all stayed for about 2 hours listening to some of the debates.</p>
<p>A very pleasant/ informative afternoon, many thanks to all who had a hand in it&rsquo;s organisation.</p>

<p>After the movie a very nice lunch was provided by the Assembly, this was followed by a short &ldquo;meet your local member&rdquo; question and answer session after which we all were shown into &ldquo;the Chamber&rdquo; where the clerk explained the &lsquo;workings of the Assembly&rsquo;, we all stayed for about 2 hours listening to some of the debates.</p>

Greenway & Tuggeranong Probus Clubs at the ACT Legislative Assembly

Members of two PROBUS clubs, Greenway and Tuggeranong at the ACT Legislative Assembly on 11^th of August 2016.
Joann McAlister welcomed us at 1.00 pm, when we were shown a short movie on the beginnings of the ACT Government/Assembly.
After the movie a very nice lunch was provided by the Assembly, this was followed by a short “meet your local member” question and answer session after which we all were shown into “the Chamber” where the clerk explained the ‘workings of the Assembly’, we all stayed for about 2 hours listening to some of the debates.
A very pleasant/ informative afternoon, many thanks to all who had a hand in it’s organisation.
