Here’s a flashback to when the Rose City Warwick Probus Club set off for Tamborine Mountains, to enjoy the Springtime in the Mountains Open Garden Festival in September last year.
Though the weather on departure looked ominous and cool, the day quickly improved and we covered the distance in good time, arriving at the Tamborine Mountains Showgrounds for morning tea.
The ladies of the Country Women’s Association demonstrated great country hospitality, serving the group a very welcome Devonshire morning tea. Nurseries at the Showgrounds provided a feast of plants for sale, tempting us all to make purchases. The display of clivias, ferns, hippeastrums, violets, orchids, azaleas, ferns and other plants was simply staggering! We visited two Open Gardens prior to returning to the Showgrounds for lunch.
