Gastro to hit thousands this winter
A new strain of gastroenteritis virus could affect thousands of Australians this winter. Researchers at the University of NSW identified the Sydney 2012 strain last March and expect it to be the dominant strain of gastro. Read more.
Gatecrasher turns himself in
A 16-year-old boy has turned himself in to police for gatecrashing a party where 17-year-old Liam Knight was struck in the head with a metal pole leaving him in a critical condition in hospital. The boy allegedly threw a number of objects during the party, including the metal rod. He has been since been charged. Read the full story.

Armstrong comes clean to Oprah
Despite agreeing not to discuss the interview until it goes to air, Oprah has all but confirmed that Lance Armstrong admitted to doping during his cycling career.
